Guwahati Refinery has proposed to set up one 80 TPH capacity CFBC based Pet Coke Boiler, utilizing Pet Coke, generated in the existing delayed coker unit at the refinery. This boiler will not only meet the future steam and power demand of the refinery but will also replace 2 existing boilers (Boiler 3 and Boiler 4), each of 20 TPH capacity as these two Rumanian Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) fired Boilers have been in operation for the past 50 years and have outlived their life and are operating at low efficiency.
