The Kannur International Airport Limited (KIAL), Is Located In Keezhallur Village And Mattanur Muncipality In The Iritty Taluk Of Kannur District Of Kerala.The Proposed Length Of Runway Expansion Is 950m. The Existing Runway Is 3050m By 45m (10007 By 148 Feet). The Runway End Safety Areas (RESA) Is 90m X 240m.The Runway Area Will Have Width Of 400m At The Top Platform And 800m At The Bottom Making It A Trapezoidal Shape. The Proposed Runway Run Towards The South Western Side Having Orientation Of 07/25. Once The Extension To 4000 M Is Completed, Kannur Will Be The Fourth Airport In India To Have A Runway Length Of 4000 M After Delhi, Hyderabad And Bangalore.
