The Project Involves Production Of Sponge Iron & Directly Charging The Sponge Iron To Make Billets. Hot Gas From DRI Kiln Will Be Used To Make Power Using WHRB.The Project Site Is At Village: Lohamellya, NH-6, P.O. Montipa, P.S. Jhargram, District: Paschim Medinipur, Pin - 721507. ASPL Decided To Expand Its Present Sponge Iron Manufacturing Capacity From 36,000 TPA To 1,02,000 TPA. The Proposed Expansion Will Be Made By Installing Additional Two 100 TPD Rotary Kilns. Waste Heat From All The Kilns Will Be Used To Generate 5 MW Electricity Using WHRB. Dolochar From DRI Plant Will Be Mixed With Coal And Used To Generated 2.5 MW Electricity. The Sponge Iron Will Be Used In 8 Tons Induction Furnace And Continuous Casting Machine To Produce 23,760 TPA Billets.
