Mangalore Refinery And Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), A Subsidiary Of Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited, Is Operating A 15.0 MMTPA Fuels Refinery At Mangalore. MRPL Has Already Entered Into Petrochemicals Production By Adding Polypropylene Unit And The Refinery Complex Is Integrated To Aromatic Complex Designed To Produce 900,000 TPA Of Paraxylene. In Order To Utilize The Maximum Crude Processing Capacity Available In Primary Units It Is Thought For Capacity Expansion Of CDU II To About 9.7 MMTPA From 7.2 MMTPA. Conversion Of VBU-I Into CDU Of About 0.7 MMTPA Capacity (For Swing Operation Of SR/Heavy Crude Directly) Utilizing CDU-1 And CDU-3 At Present Capacities Of 5.0 And 3.3 MMTPA Respectively.
