The Hanota Irrigation Project Is Located In Hanota Village Of Khurai Tehsil Of Sagar District In Madhya Pradesh On River Bina. The Project Comprises Of Four Main Components Namely Head Works (Dam With Central Spillway & Appurtenant Works) Pump House, Distribution Chamber And Pressurized Canal Works. Construction Of 5010 M Long Dam With A Maximum Height Of 27.2 M. The 176.25 M Long Central Spillway & 100 M NOF Including Key Wall (On Both Side) With 10+1 Nos Radial Gates Of Size 10*12.5 M With A Maximum Discharging Capacity Of 9981 Cumec And Foundation Gallery Is Provided. The 4733.75 M Long Earthen Section On Either Side Of The Dam Portion. Storage Formed By The Construction Of Dam Will Have A Gross Storage 150.22 MCM With Live Storage Of 146.84 MCM With Approximately 20% Of Post Monsoon Flow In River. It Will Irrigate 40,000 Ha Of Area. 46 Villages Being Submerged (As The FTL Of Project Is Marked At RL 428.00 M, Total Private Land Under Submergence Is 2810.52 Ha And Govt. Land 749.5 Ha. Pressurized Piped Canal System Of Approximately 50.45 Km With Micro Network System To Irrigate 40000 Ha, Of Sagar And Vidhisha Districts. Total 155.00 Km Network Of Gravity Main And Rising Main For DC1 And DC3 To Irrigate Area Of 17000 Ha And 23000 Ha Respectively.
