Sri Gangammathalli Minerals Is In Plan To Develop Mining For Quartz Mineral, Over An Extent Of 5.989 Hectares / 14.80 Acres At Prakasam, Andra Pradesh. The Method Of Mining Shall Be Opencast And Semi-Mechanized On Single Shift Basis. Excavations Shall Be Carried Out By Jack Hammer Drilling And Blasting. Bench Height And Width Will Be Maintained At 6 M And Width 3 Meters Minimum Respectively With Overall Slope At 60°. Excavation And Loading Shall Be Carried Out With Simple Excavators Of Capacity 0.9 To 1.1 Cu. M Bucket Capacity. This Shall Be Utilized For Developmental Work, Excavation And Loading Into The Trucks. Tippers Of L5-L7 Tons Capacities Shall Be Utilized For All Transportation Purposes. He Envisaged Maximum Annual Production Of Quartz In A Year Is Estimated To Be 4196210 Tons Per Annum.
