RSP Is A Leading Manufacturer Of Flat Products Including Value Added Products With Total Steel Value Chain Right From Plates, HR Plates, HR Coils, ERW Pipes, SW Pipes, CR Sheets & Coils, Galvanized Sheets (GP& GC), Silicon Steel Sheets & Special Plates To Meet Indian Defence Requirements. N View Of The Existing Infrastructural Facilities Installed On Upstream And Downstream Side Of Steel Melting Shop For Production Of 4.2 MTPA Crude Steel, It Is Proposed To Set Up A Slab Caster#4 In SMS #2 In Lieu Of Modernization Of Caster#1 & #2. In The Modernization, RSP Has Included New Units As Well As Revamped Some Of The Existing Units. In Modernization, Envisaged Production Scenario For Which EC Was Accorded Is As Follows : SMS-I (Crude Steel) : 0.5 MTPA,SMS-II (Crude Steel) : 3.7 MTPA, Total (Crude Steel) : 4.2 MTPA (CC Slabs) After Recent Modernization Of RSP, The Liquid Steel Capacity In SMS-II Has Gone Up To 3.7 MTPA, Whereas Caster Capacity Remained As 3.3 MTPA. This Is Due To The Fact That Up-Gradation Of Caster#1 & #2 Could Not Be Done And The Capacity Remained At 1.8 MTPA As Against The DPR Capacity Of 2.2 MTPA.
