Surat Municipal Corporation Is In Plan To Construct Bridge Over Tapi Estuary Between Pal And Umra, Surat, Gujarat. At Present There Is Not Any Direct Road Connectivity Between Pal And Umra Area Of The City. Citizens Have To Travel 7.5 Km Through Sardar Bridge, Which Increases Traffic Density On Sardar Bridge Resulted In More Travel Time. To Reduce The Distance And Traffic Density On Existing Bridge, S.M.C Has Constructed Bridge Between Pal And Umra Area Of Surat City, Which Will Reduce The Distance From 7.5 Km To Approx 1.0 Km Between Above Said Areas. Bridge Is Four Lane Having Length Of 776.50m With 30 Span And Width Of Bridge Is 2 X 12.40 M (2 X 7.5 M Carriage Way + 2 X 1.5 M Footpath On Both Side + 2 X 2.5 M For Utility Line + 1.2 M Center Verge)+2.0 X 0.30 M Railing (Crash Barrier)
