Jharsuguda Airport Of Airport Authority Of India Was Constructed During Second World War Period With Low Bearing Strength Suitable For General Aviation Aircraft. Now Govt. Of Odisha Has Requested To Operationalize The Airport, By Considering To Develop For A-320 Type Of Aircraft Operation. It Involves Extension Of The Airport Runway , New Terminal Building, Emergency Service Facility, New Technical Block, Improved Navigational And Visual Aids, And Ground Lighting Facilities, New Taxi Way, Apron And Strengthening Of Existing Runway.
