Establishment of Lighthouse at Honiphrock Point was sanctioned by the Government of India for providing aids to Navigation to the vessels approaching to Campbell Bay jetty and sailing between Katchal and Nancowry Islands. Honiphrock Point Lighthouse is proposed to be situated at the northern tip of Honiphrock Point at Katchal Island.The proposed Honiphrock Point Lighthouse is 12.0 m high trestle tower This lighthouse will provide navigational safety to large passenger/Cargo/Fishing vessels approaching to Campbell bay Jetty and sailing between Katchal and Nancowry Islands. Its totally operated by solar energy.
