The Directorate of Lighthouse and lightships, Govt.of India, Port Blair, proposes to construct a light house at patrie Island, South andaman for the purpose of navigational aids for the vessels plying from chennai and visakhapatnam and patrolling and small fishing vessels in the region.The location of Headland about 75 feet hight above the MSL on western side of the south andaman. with the base area of 5.50sqm. and 12m tall lighthouse.
