Keeping this in mind, Government of Gujarat has decided to locate the PCPIR at Dahej in Dist. Bharuch. Dahej is an industrialized location, having 7 different Industrial Estates developed by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) i.e. Dahej-I, Dahej-II, Dahej-III, Dahej SEZ, Vilayat, Vilayat Expansion (Saykha-A, Saykha-B), has the presence of chemical & petrochemical units, and is served with LNG jetty as well as liquid chemical jetty and handling facility on the coast of Dahej in Gulf of Cambay. In the close vicinity of proposed PCPIR, three industrial estates namely Ankleshwar, Jhagadia and Panoli are located. The PCPIR falls on both sides of the proposed Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor in the area of 453 sq.km.
