Ashoka University has set up the Ashok Trivedi Centre for Political Data in partnership with the University of Michigan. The centre is named after the co-founder of IT services company iGate who has committed Rs 15 crore to the initiative at the Sonepat-based private university.
Trivedi said such a centre is needed for democracy to function properly and it will fill a critical gap in India.
