Manoj Kumar, MD & CEO, Ricoh India, the listed Indian entity of the $23 billion Ricoh group told reporters here on Friday that the company’s third data centre will come up at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The company already has two data centres in India — one in Kolkata and another in Delhi. The business zones will serve as a one-stop destination for other companies, as they will get support of Ricoh’s IT and communication infrastructure to run their operations.
“Typically, it will cost somewhere between Rs 80 crore and Rs 100 crore to set up a data centre. We need to have our own data centres in order to get customers’ preference for our services.
