Electro Steel Casting
Electro Steel Castings is planning installation of 1x6 MVA & 1x9MVA submerged arc furnaces at Haldia, dist. East Midnapore,West Bengal. Consultant is appointed. The project is waiting forenvironmental clearance. According to MoEF sources, theestimated cost of the project is Rs. 500 million.
The unit will produce 38,156 TPA ferro manganese or 27,109 TPA silico manganese or 10,421 TPA ferro silicon entailing installation ofsubmerged arc furnaces and material handling facility. Theplant is located adjacent to the existing site of the coke ovenplant at Haldia.
The power requirement is 12.5 MW, which will be sourced partly from the captive power plant of the cokeoven plant of the company, operating in the adjacent land and partly from the supply system of WBSEDCL.
