The Karnataka government has cleared Intel Technology India’s Rs. 1,100-crore proposal to set up ‘Computer Software Development/R&D/Hardware Design services’ facility in Bengaluru.
The company's proposal was cleared by The State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) chaired by the Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, on Monday night.
Intel’s project site is to come up at Devarabeesanahalli Outer Ring Road, Varthur Hobli, Bangalore South Taluk in Bangalore district.
The company is planning to construct a new building in eight acres of KIADB allotted land. Currently, it is engaged in research, development, hardware design, testing/validation of computer hardware and software products for the next generation of information technology ecosystem.
Intel is operating under 100 per cent export oriented unit (EOU) scheme registered with STPI. It has made significant investment in Karnataka in building the R&D labs
