Krishnapatnam Power Corporation
The Hyderabad-based CVR group-led Krishnapatnam Power Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh to build 2780 MW (3X660 MW and 1X800 MW) capacity of thermal power projects with an investment of Rs. 16,680 crore.
The project is proposed to be located on the coastal region of Bay of Bengal in Tamminapatnam Mommidi revenue panchayat villages, close to the Krishnapatnam Port in SPS Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh.
The project is expected to create direct/indirect employment opportunities for approximately 1,500 people.
Chinta Sasidhar, Director, Krishnapatnam Power Corporation, said, “The recent agreement has tremendously fortified our commitment and contribution towards the macro scheme of ‘Infrastructure Mission’ of Andhra Pradesh which envisions the creation of world class infrastructure for excellent connectivity and augmenting power generation capacity”.
