BR Shetty, Chairman, UAE Exchange, has said that NMC Group, its sister concern, plans to expand its presence in the healthcare segment by setting up a chain of super speciality hospitals in India and abroad. SUT Hospital, which it had acquired in 2013, will be expanded into a 520-bed hospital with an investment of Rs.350 crore. Andhra Pradesh has agreed to allot 300 acres in Amaravati to set up a medicity, he said, adding that they have received in-principle sanction from Karnataka to build a new airport at Shimoga.
