Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will lay foundation stone for the 800 MW super critical thermal power plant at Vanakbori in the Kheda district of Gujarat on Thursday.
The super critical power plant will become the first of its kind unit in the state to generate electricity for round the clock. Engineering major, Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL) has managed to secure the contract through International Competitive Bidding from the state-run Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) on EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis.
