Delhi Metro Rail Corporation submitted the detailed project report (DPR) on Vijayawada Metro, The project completed by 2019, would likely cost Rs 6823 crore, According to the DPR, Vijayawada Metro would have two corridors — Corridor 1 of 12.76 km; and Corridor 2 of 13.27 km, Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravathi, Corridor 2 would be connected to Gannavaram airport, the underground project per kilometer would cost Rs 500-600 crore against Rs 209 crore per kilometer, The DPR also 31.029 hectares would be required for the project
