Lohiya group Gold Drop brand plans to set up an edible oil refining and processing plant near Krishnapatnam with a capacity of 500 tons a day involving an investment of around Rs 500 crore, company currently waiting for the Andhra Pradesh government to allot at least 20 acres of land for the project, the group would invest Rs 100 crore on the first phase of the proposed project. The group hopes to commission the first phase of the plant in 12-18 months once approvals were in place.
