The Telangana Government plans to add 2,500 MW solar photo-voltaic power generation capacity by next year. The State Government had invited interest for 2,000 MW of solar power capacity earlier this year, has received interest to set up more than 6,000 MW solar capacity. It plans to finalise the developers later this month, it plans to take it up to 2,747 MW by next year kharif crop season
