National Thermal Power Corporation Limited
NTPC Ltd has awarded solar PV project contracts to Tata Power Solar, Lanco Solar Energy, BHEL and Sterling and Wilson for setting up of 250 MW in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. This 250 MW solar PV project is part of 1,000 MW ultra mega solar PV plant taken up by NTPC close to Kadiri in Anantapur. The plant will come up in a phased manner and the first phase of 250 MW tenders have been finalised. Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd of Bengaluru has been awarded contract for 100 MW, Lanco Solar Energy (50 MW), BHEL (50 MW) and Sterling & Wilson, a Shapoorji Pallonji Group promoted company (50 MW).
