Diversified group plans to set up four food processing parks with an investment of up to Rs 250 crore each in Tamil Nadu. Food parks are likely to be spread in 25 to 30 acres and would bring in investment of Rs 200 crore to Rs 250 crore each. The central government is likely to announce 17 mega food parks soon entailing a total investment of up to Rs 2,100 crore. The 17 mega food parks are likely to come up in states including Punjab, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Odisha, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Bihar.
