NTPC signed a MoU with the Odisha government for setting up of an ITI at an investment of Rs 7.72 crore in Ganjam district. The ITI would be established at Bhusanda in Shergarh area of Ganjam district. The ITI was expected to be operational during 2016-17. According to MoU, the state government will provide suitable land at the location free of cost to NTPC for the purpose. The ITI will be constructed by the NTPC with the capital expenditure of Rs 7.72 crore which included the cost of civil work for workshop, academic building, hostel building as well as plant and machineries for strength of 200 students.
