Andhra Pradesh expects to add over 1,000 MW of wind energy projects and 300 MW of solar photovoltaic power capacity during 2015-16. 'Power for All scheme’ had projected a capacity addition of 800 MW through wind farms in the State expect to augment additional capacity of 1,000 MW this fiscal. The State is planning to install about 6500 solar pump sets during the year supported by the Central Government (MNRE scheme) and funding from Power Finance Corporation.
