Airports Authority of India (AAI) has given in-principle approval for setting up a cargo terminal at Surat airport. The proposal for setting up the terminal was pending with AAI for the last couple of years. The cargo terminal is expected to ease the movement of precious cargo including diamonds, gold and jewellery from Surat.
