Kota Urban Improvement Trust
The Union ministry for road transport and highways has approved the proposed Kota northern bypass project. Now, tenders for the project could be floated soon. The proposed project would help decongest the city. The proposed bypass would connect the KotaSawai Madhopur highway to the NH 76 through a road between Jhalipura area and Gaamach area in the district. Kota Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) will carry out the bypass project. The total cost of the 14.2-km bypass project is estimated to be Rs. 175 crore. The UIT has acquired 67.4 hectare land for the project. The project is likely to be completed in a couple of years.
