Punjab govt approves Rs 270cr project to upgrade Ludhiana STPs
Punjab government today approved a Rs 270 project crore to upgrade sewage treatment plants (STPs) in Ludhiana.
The decision was taken by Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal while reviewing the Satluj river cleaning project. It was also decided in a meeting to construct a new STP with capacity of 70 million litre disposal (MLD) at Jamalpur with a cost of Rs 90 crore and another at Bhattian of 100 MLD capacity with an outlay of Rs 130 crore, a spokesman said.
Badal gave his nod to the upgradation of the existing STP of 48 MLD at Jamalpur, 111 MLD STP at Bhattian, 152 MLD STP at Balloke in Ludhiana.
