Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd
The Indian state of Assam has released a request for proposals (RFP) for a grid-tied solar photovoltaic (PV) project on a 140 hectare site which it owns. Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd. (APGCL, Guwahati, India) estimates that the site can accommodate 60 MW-AC of PV generation, but notes that this capacity may change depending on the outcome of a feasibility study.
APGCL is proposing a PV plant to be built in three 20 MW-AC phases. The company is also proposing that a joint venture company be formed to develop the project, in which it will hold a 26% share, and that assets be turned over to APGCL after 25 years.
Initial queries must be submitted by April 8th, 2014, and the pre-bid meeting is scheduled on April 22nd, 2014.
Strict bidding requirements, APGCL is opening this RFP to PV module manufacturers with a capacity of least 100 MW, who has developed a minimum of 100 MW-DC of PV projects, with at least 25 MW in India.
The successful bidder will be chosen based on the lowest bid for 25 years of electricity supply.
