Authorities of Chembittapally, which is older than the Jama Masjid in New Delhi, and Hari Shenoy Bungalow have given their consent to renovate both monuments. The two-floor bungalow was constructed in 'Naalukettu' style by Hari Shenoy, the then administrator of the devaswom. He handed it over to the temple around 120 years ago. Earlier, the bungalow was functioning as a pre-primary school, but it was closed around nine years ago. Chembittapally Juma Masjid, the temple style mosque was constructed with wood around 700 years ago.
