For The Police Modernization Project, The State Government Claimed To Have Allocated Rs 90.83 Crore During The Current Financial Year.
The State Government Had Provided Rs 2.33 Crore To State Police Headquarter For The Purchase Of Latest Equipments.
Besides, Funds Worth Rs 691.01 Lakhs For Anti-Riot Equipments, Rs 11.79 Lakh For Security Apparatus, And Rs 18.11 Lakh For Other Equipments To All Districts Have Also Been Granted. Funds Have Also Been Released For Purchasing Latest Training Apparatus As Well.
Pointedly, Rs 52.41 Lakh Has Been Allocated To Etah District For Constructing Barrack Where At Least 30 Jawans Can Stay. Similarly, Banda District Have Also Been Given Rs 33.65 Lakh For Construction Of A Barrack Meant For 12 Jawans. Besides Rs 1.15 Crore And Rs 61.11 Lakh Have Also Been Sanctioned To Chandauli And Unnao District For Construction Of Barracks Meant For Staying 80 And 40 Jawans Respectively.
Moreover, Funds Have Also Been Sanctioned For Setting Up State Of Art Facilities Equipped Control Rooms For Four Major Cities Of The State Including Allahabad (Rs 9 Crore), Kanpur Nagar (Rs 6.60 Crore) And Lucknow And Ghaziabad (Rs 7.5 Crore Each).
These Control Rooms Will Be Equipped With GIS, GPS And Vehicle Tracking System Etc. With This, Cops Sitting In Modernized Control Room Will Be Able To Locate Vehicles On Screens To Be Installed At Control Rooms And Instructing Them To Reach The Spots In Terms Of Regulating Traffic And Crime Control.
