Coal India Will Invite Request For Proposal From Private Operators To Develop Five Open Cast Mines And Two Underground Mines And Produce Coal Under The Mine Developer-Operator (MDO) Mode. These Blocks Can Produce 18 Million Tonnes Of Coal In A Year. The Selected Bidder Will Be Awarded The Contracts By The End Of The Current Financial Year. Coal India Had Earlier Invited Request For Quotation For Malachua Open Cast Mine And Itapara Open Cast Mine Project. Other Five Open Cast Mine Project Includes, The Murpar Underground Expansion Project, The Damodar River Diversion Open Cast Mine Project, The Jhingurdah Bottom Open Cast Mines ,The Konar Open Cast Mine And Talcher Underground Project.
