Five Central Public Sector Undertakings (Cpsus) Are Planning To Set Up A Solar Power Project At Sambhar In Rajasthan. These Five Companies Are, BHEL, Power Grid Corporation, Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam, Solar Energy Corporation, And Hindustan Salts - Will Set Up The Plant With A Total Capacity Of 4,000 MW, On Land Belonging To Hindustan Salt In The State. The Operation And Management Contract For This Project Is To Be Awarded To Rajasthan Electronics And Instruments. The Project Is Expected To Be Commissioned In Three Years. The Cpsus Will Shortly Seek An Approval From Union Cabinet To Set Up A Special Purpose Vehicle For The Development Of The Project.
