Public works department (PWD) has sent a proposal for the reconstruction of Kalpi Road (National Highway -25) in between JaribChauky and Vijay Nagar Crossing to its headquarter. The project will cover the construction of a six-lane road along with a divider, with cost Rs 8.56 crore. Historic Kalpi Road connects Kanpur to Jhansi and is a part of the National Highway -25. At present the condition of the road inside the city is very bad. According to project proposal, the construction of road would be finished by the end of this year.
