The Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Will Promote A Rs 3,500-Crore Project Jointly With The Private Sector To Set Up A Deep Water Port And A 500-MW Gas-Based Power Project And Related Infrastructure In South Tamil Nadu. In Sivagangai District, The Existing Manamadurai Industrial Estate Will Be Expanded By 2,000 Acres To Establish An Industrial Park For Graphite-Based Industries. In Dindigul A 1,500-Acre Industrial Park Will Be Set Up For Engineering Units And Food Processing Units. In Virudhunagar, A Range Of Industries, Including Infrastructure For Safety Matches And Fireworks Units, Food Processing Industrial Park, Engineering And Printing Units, Will Be Encouraged. In Kanyakumari, Marine Industries, Engineering Units, Rubber Products Units And Tourism Will Be Encouraged. A 250-Acre Industrial Park Will Be Set Up, A 1,500-Acre Renewable Energy Hub Will Be Created In Tirunelveli.
