Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL) Has Constructed The First Integrated Development Centre At Digha Village Near Manoharpur In Jharkhand To Support The Government's Saranda Development Plan. SAIL Has Spent Around Rs. 5.40 Crore In Constructing 26 Structures Of 1000 Sq Ft. Each As Part Of Its CSR.A First Of Its Kind Construction In The Saranda Belt, The IDC Will Be Focusing On Providing All Facilities Under One Roof To The Villagers. The Centre Will Used By The District Administration For Various Purposes Like Market Complex, Ration Shop, Bank, Forest Office, Agricultural Office, Health Centre, Anganwari, Community Hall, Community Kitchen,Common Mess And Civil Officers' Residence. The Company Has Distributed 7000 Radios, 7000 Solar Lanterns, And 7000 Bicycles Among The Villagers. It Has Put In Operation Five Mobile Health Service Vans. In The Remote Saranda Forest Area, Houses And Villages Are Located Far Apart From One Another, Villagers Has To Face So Many Difficulties. In Order To Overcome The Difficulties In Reaching Out To The People, Government Has Planned 10 Idcs In The Area, Each Catering To Several Villages Under Six Panchayats.
