Adani Ports And Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), The Country's Largest Private Port, Has Bagged Security Clearance From The Union Home Ministry To Bid For Port Projects In The Country. APSEZ Has Been Consistently Denied Security Clearance By The Home Ministry Since November 2010 Due To Undisclosed Reasons Which Effect Company's Expansion Plans Within The Country As It Could Not Bid For Projects Worth Rs 20,000 Crore. According To The Existing Security Clearance Norms, The Company Can Now Bid For All Port Projects In The Country. The Ministry Issued Clearance For Three Port Projects Which Include Two Projects At Kandla Port And One At Cochin Port. The Company Is Yet To Receive An Official Approval From The Ministry. The Ministry Of Shipping Is Also Due To Award Security Clearance To The Company For Participating In A Project At Chennai Port Worth Rs 4,000 Crore. The Decision To Grant Security Clearance Will Now Allow The Company To Bid For A Number Of Projects As The Shipping Ministry Has Lined Up 30 Projects Worth Rs 25,000 Crore To Be Awarded This Year
