The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Will Soon Start Its First Bus Rapid Transit System Project On Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road With Estimated Cost Of Rs. 173.18 Crore. The Project Is Expected To Complete In Two Years. The Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road Was Constructed In 2007 After Which Road Traffic On The Stretch Increased And The Traffic Police Requested The BMC To Widen The Road. The Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road Is 4-Km Long And 200-Feet Wide. Mr. Rahul Shewale, Standing Committee Chairman Said “The Public Transport In Mumbai Is Better Than Elsewhere, The Movement Of Buses Is Not Smooth And Only Becoming Worse. This Project Will Help Bus Traffic On The Road. We Will Extend It To Other City Roads Late”.
