Construction Work On The Four Laning Of The National Highway-20 With A Length Of 210 Km From Pathankot To Mandi Will Be Start Very Shortly. About Half A Dozen Mlas Of The Area Met Union Road Transport And Highway Minister C P Joshi To Secure Clearance For The Road Project. The Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh Had Also Written To The Centre For The Widening Of The Existing Pathankot-Mandi Highway Into Four Lanes. Out Of The Total Stretch Of The Highway About 10km Passes Through Punjab And That The State Government Has Also Requested To Centre For The Construction Of Bypasses At Baijnath, Paprola, Nurpur, Nagrota Bagwan, Gaggal, Jogindernagar And Shahpur Area Of The State Where The Road Stretches Are Accident Prone Causing Large Number Of Road Mishaps.
