Narbheram Power & Steel Ltd (Formerly Scaw Industries Ltd), A Group Company Of Kolkata-Based Atha Group Is Planning To Expand The Capacity Of Its Sponge Iron Unit At Dhenkanal District Of Orissa. Company Is Planning To Invest Around Rs 500 Crore In The Project. The Project Includes Expansion Of Its Captive Power Plant From 8 MW To 80 MW. The Project Will Be Implemented In Next 3-4 Years. The Company Has Been Allotted The Radhikapur East Coal Block Jointly With Tata Sponge Iron Ltd And SPS Sponge Iron Ltd, Located 60 Km From NSPL’s Sponge Iron Making Facility. The Coal Block Is Yet To Begin Production And NSPL Has Secured Coal Linkage From Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd
