Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers have got pre-Public Investment Board clearance for expansion of its urea capacity by 1.27 million tonnes annually at Thal plant, near Mumbai, with an investment of Rs 4,112.5 crore. The project will be a joint venture effort with another PSU, Coal India Ltd. CIL will supply coal for the project.
