Bosch is setting up a new manufacturing plant at Bidadi, about 35 km from Bangalore. The company has acquired 97 acres from Karnataka for the construction of the new plant which will be set up over a period of five years starting 2012-13. The plant is to be constructed in two phases, between 2012-13 and 2015-16. In the phase I the proposed plant will manufacture common rail pump, common rain and glow plugs in the new facility. In the phase II the plant will produce inline pumps, elements, delivery valves, conventional and PF pumps. As of February 2013, the project is under implementation.
