CESC, belonging to RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group is setting up the 600 MW Chandrapur Thermal Power Project in Maharashtra. The project will be built in two phases of 300 MW each. Its second phase is expected to be operational around October 2013. As of February 2013, the project is under implementation.
