Maharashtra State Road Devl. Corp is planning to take up development of Versova - Bandra Sea link. MSRDC has proposed to develop sea link from Versova to Bandra in the suburbs of Mumbai. The length of the sea link is approximately 10 km with dispersal points at Juhu Koliwada and Jogger’s Park. The sea link will have 4+4 lanes on both the sides. The construction of the sea link will be carried out using modern technology, including single pier with max. width 2500 mm, superstructure with bridge builders/movable scaffold, minimum span lengths to be 50 m, maximum depth of superstructure 1500 mm, expansion joints at not less than 50 m. MSRDC has prepared extensive EMP and DMP for the project. As of January 2013, the project has been accorded environment clearance by Ministry of Environment & Forests.
