National Highways Authority of India has reported progress on its Baharagora-Sambalpur highway project. The project involves four/two laning of Baharagora-Sambalpur section of NH-6 in the states of Orissa and Jharkhand under NHDP Phase IV on DBFOT/BOT basis. As of January 2013, The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the project.
