Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation is planning to set up a 100 MW solar energy park in Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu The proposed park spread over around 500 acres in Paramakudi taluk will be set up under public private partnership model. The project will be implemented through a special purpose vehicle to be floated by the TIDCO and the selected private promoter. As of December 2012, the project is in the planning stage.
