Rane TRW Steering Systems, a 50:50 joint venture between Rane Group and TRW Automotive is planning increase the capacity of its plant at Singaperumal Koil near Chennai. The manufacturing facility will utilise driver and passenger airbag technology developed by TRW in Germany. As of December 2012, work on the project has commenced.
