GAIL India, in joint venture with Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation, GDF Suez, and Gail Gas is setting up a floating and processing unit of liquefied natural gas near Kakinada on the East Coast. The proposed facility will have the capability to handle 3.5 million tonnes per annum of gas. As of December 2012, the project is under implementation.
