Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited is in plan for planning to construct a 41 MW captive solar plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. This facility will serve TP Solar Limited (TP Solar), which is in the process of establishing a new 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The captive solar plant is expected to generate 101 million units of electricity annually and offset approximately 72,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
